Magnesium is the relaxing mineral. Breathing deeply also relaxes the muscles. Calcium and holding your breath tightens the muscles. The heart muscle uses calcium to constrict and push the blood. It uses magnesium to relax and gulp a full load of blood. You can imagine what would happen if you don't have enough magnesium. Your brain says push harder, I'm not getting enough blood, oxygen. The heart starts beating harder and faster.
Our processed food is stuffed with Calcium but it takes magnesium to absorb calcium so we need more magnesium to get that calcium to the bone and not stuck in the muscles. Magnesium is also what it takes to make the bones springy instead of brittle.
Too much calcium can constrict the muscles (heart) and be dangerous. If you get too much magnesium, you'll get loose in the bowels and can actually do a safe colon cleanse. Excess magnesium goes to the colon, draws water through the wall and washes it.
Take it at nighttime for the relaxation of it and get a colon cleanse in the morning. Don't take as much and it slows down. It's very easy to control. It's only the excess that goes to the colon. The rest is going where it's needed.
